All FlexShip movements must have a BOOKING made by emailing our dedicated Aloha FlexShip Email or calling our local team toll free at 888-94-ALOHA (25642).
Without a booking at least 24 hours prior to tender cutoffs, we cannot guarantee your shipment will make the targeted sailing, and may be placed on next available sailing per the schedule below.

Q: What is “Aloha FlexShip”?
A: Aloha FlexShip is a new service from Aloha Air Cargo offering a convenient and cost-effective solution for your less-time sensitive cargo shipments. We have shipping dates twice a week for each destination for this service and shippers are able to pick up your freight at your cargo’s destination in approximately 3 – 5 days from departure date.
Q: Will Aloha FlexShip be a permanent addition to Aloha Air Cargo’s range of services?
A: Aloha FlexShip has been officially launched and is now among our convenient suite of services, along with our same day express and overnight shipping. We encourage any and all feedback on your experiences with Aloha FlexShip, as we are continually refining the service; please email Sales.
Q: When do I use this service, and for what types of cargo?
A: Currently, we do require that your freight be cleanly palletized on a skip, as opposed to loose cargo (i.e. individual pieces/boxes). If your general freight is not -- perishable, a live animal, considered “dangerous goods” or time sensitive, and you are flexible on when the freight has to arrive at its destination, then we’ll get it there at a great rate and with great service.
Q: Where does this service ship to?
A: Aloha FlexShip service provides shipping to and from Honolulu (HNL) and Kailua-Kona (KOA), Hilo (ITO), Kahului (OGG) and Lihue (LIH).
Q: Where do I drop off and pick up my freight if I utilize this service?
A: The service is provided at our existing cargo facilities in Honolulu and all our Neighbor Island locations (for cargo facility locations and operating hours, refer to our: Contact Information). All drop off and pick up procedures will remain the same; when tendering your shipment, simply advise the cargo front desk agent that you would like to use the Aloha FlexShip service and they will be happy to assist you.
Q: How much does Aloha FlexShip cost?
A: Aloha FlexShip has a per pound charge and is based on the actual or dimensional weight of your cargo, whichever is greater. Essentially we are utilizing the same cost structure as our existing services. If you are a business and are considering utilizing this service regularly as an alternative to surface shipping, please contact Sales for info on additional discounts and/or special rates you may qualify for.
Q: Are there any taxes or fuel surcharges that I will be charged?
A: For Aloha FlexShip shipments, the fuel surcharge is inclusive of the total chargeable weight amount. General Excise Tax (GET) will be assessed and added to your total freight charge when paying for your shipment. Any fees and surcharges are subject to change without notice.
Q: When will my freight be shipped out and when can I pick them up?
A: We utilize two (2) weekly shipping dates for each destination; please see above for the breakdown of shipping dates, drop off cutoffs and projected pickup dates.
Departure days noted above may vary without notice, depending on weather and other factors that may be out of Aloha Air Cargo’s control. Review our terms and conditions here or Inquire at the HNL or KOA cargo facilities for a printed copy.
Q: What are the size and weight limitations for freight tendered using this service?
A: There is a $90 min. per shipment, although this requirement may be reduced for frequent (weekly) shippers and/or established accounts. If your freight does not fit on a wooden skid (pallet), our staff will assess upon tendering of your shipment if your cargo requires manual handling (during the loading/unloading process) which exceeds the reasonable abilities of our cargo agents. We reserve the right to refuse acceptance of oversized/overweight cargo for this service; we may however be able to transport via our other same day or overnight services based on prevailing rates.
