Main Deck Load Limitations

Main Cabin Cargo Door
The main cabin cargo door provides approximately 84 square feet of area through which cargo can be loaded. This door can be opened to either of the two positions, canopy or fully opened, shown below.

Main Deck Cargo Compartment

• The B737-400 main deck cargo compartment extends from the forward 9G bulkhead approximately (need length) to the aft pressure bulkhead.
• Cargo compartment loading and unloading is accomplished via the main cargo door which is located forward of the wing on the left side of the aircraft.
• The main deck cargo compartment of the B737-400 aircraft is configured for a total of ten 88” x 125” ULD positions

Main Cargo Door Operation “Canopy” Position
“Canopy” position is 0-80 degrees

“Sail” position is 80-135 degrees
