Lee Steele became president of Aloha Air Cargo, effective July 1, 2010, having joined Aloha with more than twenty-five years of experience in various aspects of military, general and commercial aviation. As president, he is responsible for all operational, financial, and commercial aspects of the company.

Just prior to joining Hawaii’s largest air cargo carrier, Steele was president of the aviation consulting company, Global Dimensions, Inc. and served as president and chief executive officer of Champion Air and Carnival Airlines. Steele has also served as vice president and other executive management positions for several notable airlines including: Aloha Airlines, Polar Air Cargo, Pan Am World Airways, America West Airlines, Eastern Air Lines, Inc., and MGM Grand Air.

Steele's involvement with various commercial airlines has allowed him to hone his management and leadership skills on an executive level. He has since been involved with all functions of airline operations including flight operations and dispatch, maintenance and oversight programs, sales, marketing, customer service, as well as piloting.

As a native of Atlanta, Steele earned his Bachelor of Science in industrial management from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) and obtained his Master of Arts in management from Webster University in St. Louis. He has served on the Senior Advisory Council of the Airline Transport Association (ATA) and previously has been on the board of Aeronautical Radio Inc. (ARINC). He holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) rating for B-747-400 and B-727-200 aircraft, plus received additional education from the F.B.I. International Terrorist School for Airline Executives and National Mediation Board (NMB) interest-based bargaining school, taught by Cornell University.
