Honolulu, HI (October 16, 2008) – Aloha Air Cargo hosted an official unveiling ceremony and aircraft blessing yesterday, Wednesday, October 15, to celebrate the company’s new brand. The new brand signifies a historic chapter for Aloha Air Cargo since the close of Aloha Airlines’ passenger service earlier this year.

“We are extremely proud and excited to debut a revitalized Aloha Air Cargo. Our fresh exterior and enhanced services are just the ‘tip of the iceberg’ of efforts to make this company the best it can be for both customers and employees,” said Mike Malik, President of Aloha Air Cargo.

The event also commemorated Aloha Air Cargo employees who were given the honor of uncovering the newly branded plane and revealing the employee-selected name of the aircraft, name and meaning.

“Our spirited employees continue to be the heart and soul of this company – they stood strong throughout the company’s transition and enabled us to emerge today as a stronger and more resilient organization,” added Malik.

A traditional Hawaiian blessing was conducted by Kahu Kordell Kekoa, the Chaplain of Kamehameha Schools –Kapalama Campus following the display of the aircraft. Aloha Air Cargo executives, employees and their families, clients, business and community partners enjoyed live music and refreshments into the evening.

Aloha Air Cargo was recently awarded the 2008 Air Cargo award by The Air Cargo Association of Hawaii in recognition of the company’s continued support and contribution to Hawaii’s air cargo community. Aloha Air Cargo was purchased by Seattle-based Saltchuk Resources in May 2008.
