Customers visiting Joint Base Pearl Harbor–Hickam should be aware of an upcoming access change that may impact travel times.
Beginning April 1, 2026, the Halawa Gate access point will permanently close. After this date, the Kuntz Gate will become the single point of entry for all commercial traffic entering the base and will have limited access for privately owned vehicles.
Due to this change, customers may experience traffic delays on Elliott Street, particularly during peak access hours.
What Customers Should Expect:
